John Bateman: Bradford Bulls re-sign experienced forward for 2027 season

Bradford Bulls have re-signed North Queensland Cowboys forward John Bateman on a two-year deal for the 2027 season.
The 32-year-old started his career at Odsal and made his debut against Catalans Dragons in April 2011 aged 17.
The England and Great Britain international left the Bulls for the first of his two spells with Wigan Warriors in 2014 and has also had stints in the NRL with Canberra Raiders and Wests Tigers.
“It is pretty surreal, this is something I’ve wanted to do in my career but in the back of my mind I didn’t think I would get the chance,” he told the club website., external
“When Bradford got promoted back to Super League, coming back was something I wanted to make happen.
“It gives me goosebumps thinking about running back out at Odsal.”
The club hold the option of a third year on Bateman’s contract.
