Previous Manchester United transfer target Ismaila Sarr is set to swap Crystal Palace for Fenerbahce. United had been linked with a move for the Senegal international this summer.
Reports from France recently claimed Michael Carrick’s side sent an enquiry about the former Watford ace, who contributed four goals and two assists for his country in the recent World Cup. His stock has remained high with the Turkish heavyweights scouting him for a move.
Interestingly, Marcus Rashford is also of immense interest to Fenerbahce, meaning the pair could be team-mates this season. If Sarr does make the move, he’ll be the latest United transfer target to move to a different club.

Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb has stated Sarr is on the verge of sealing a move to the Istanbul side. The report even goes as far to say it may only be “hours” until a move to Turkey is wrapped up.
This comes not long after Foot Mercato stated the Reds had sent an enquiry about Sarr’s services to Palace. No official transfer approach was made by United for the 28-year-old despite their enquiry.
It’s now looking possible that Sarr and Rashford will compete for a place in Istanbul. The Sun recently stated Rashford is linked with a £40m move to the Turkish heavyweights.

It was stated his name was on a potential transfer list alongside Sarr and AC Milan forward Rafael Leao. Whether Fenerbahce are willing to sign both Sarr and Rashford remains to be seen.
United’s main transfer focus this season has been on strengthening their midfield. They are nearly finished in this endeavour, having added Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa and Andrey Santos from Chelsea to their ranks.
The club is also hopeful about signing another defensive midfielder this season to complete their transformation in the middle of the park. Moreover, left-back is another area they want to reinforce.

Newcastle United defender Lewis Hall is one target, although he will be difficult to sign as the Magpies have reportedly labelled him as an untouchable player this summer. Left-wing has also been an area United are keen on strengthening despite the investment in the front-line last season.
Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko all arrived last season, but none of the trio have featured too regularly on the left. One issue for United is the shin injury Sesko is currently struggling with.
He recently returned to United’s Carrington training ground to work on his fitness over the last few weeks. He also has not been part of any of United’s pre-season squads this summer due to this injury.
