Wales breaking news plus weather and traffic updates (Tuesday, August 4)

Showers are possible for some parts of Wales overnight tonight before a windier and fresher day on Wednesday, the latest Met Office report says.

Some of the overnight showers may be fairly heavy, especially in the west, but many places will miss these and stay dry throughout the night.

It will remaining warm and humid in most areas of Wales but turning windier in coastal regions.

There’s an increasing chance of showers in the north and west on Wednesday, but few if any elsewhere. It will be a windier day and feel considerably cooler than recently with a maximum temperature 20 °C across Wales.

The outlook for Thursday to Saturday is that it will remaining generally dry with a mixture of cloudy spells and periods of warm sunshine.

Some cool nights and feeling fresher than of late, before temperatures rise again into the weekend, the Met Office says.
