A lorry has overturned following a multi-vehicle collision on the M1.
National Highways said the M1 in Northamptonshire was closed northbound, between junction 16 for Northampton and junction 18 for Rugby, following a collision shortly after, external 22:00 BST on Tuesday.
It said all emergency services including Northamptonshire Police were in attendance and that the road would likely be closed throughout the morning for police investigation work and a “complex recovery operation”.
According to traffic system Inrix, three lorries are involved in the collision and lanes three and four are closed southbound past the incident.
