The cause of a massive flood which wrecked homes in a village on the outskirts of Cardiff has been revealed. Last week homes in Gwaelod-y-Garth were evacuated and over a dozen flooded following a blast at a nearby quarry, leaving residents devastated.
A number of agencies are looking into the incident, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), with quarry owners Breedon stating that they are cooperating with the investigation.
Residents have called for answers as they continue the monumental effort to clean up mud and rocks from their homes and village.
