Meredith Gaudreau, the widow of former Blue Jackets star Johnny Gaudreau, announced on social media that Kingy, the Gaudreau family’s dog, passed away.
Along with the somber announcement, Meredith Gaudreau shared photos of Kingy and Johny Gaudreau in an Instagram post Aug. 4.
“Through it all, my boy. With John now. So many good pics, some of my favorites of my favorites,” Meredith Gaudreu wrote on social media. “Love you forever my Kingy.”
The photos showed Johnny, Meredith and Kingy taking a selfie together as well as candid shots of Johnny and Kingy, including the duo sitting together at a table.
Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were killed nearly two years ago on Aug. 29, 2024 when they were struck by a suspected drunk driver while bicycling in Oldmans Township, New Jersey.
