Ground stop issued at MSP Airport Thursday due to “regional FAA equipment outage,” officials say

A ground stop is in effect at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Thursday afternoon due to “a regional FAA equipment outage,” according to the Metropolitan Airports Commission.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued the ground stop around 2 p.m., and it has since been extended to 4:15 p.m.

Airport officials says the stop “is in effect for departures, with some limited arrivals,” and they advise flyers to reach out to their airlines for next steps.
