Jurors heard a full day of testimony Thursday in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial. They saw autopsy photos of the youngest child and heard from Clancy’s former father-in-law.
First, jurors saw autopsy photos of 8-month-old Callan Clancy and heard from the medical examiner.
At the end of the day, the commonwealth introduced a Facebook post into evidence in which Clancy called Dawson the most difficult human she’s ever encountered.
Clancy wept as the medical examiner testified about Callan’s death.
Jurors looked at the photos with somber faces, some wiped their eyes. The photos were not shown on camera.
Friends of Clancy testified about how she was as a mother.
“Lindsay was a very loving, caring mother. This is exactly what she wanted,” Andrea Hennigan testified.
And that she expressed she was having a hard time.
“She responded that things haven’t gotten any better and that she feels like a zombie,” Bethany DeCollibus testified.
But they didn’t know about her suicidal thoughts, except her childhood friend.
“She had shared that she was, had been, taking a medication that caused her to have some dark thoughts,” Amy Bevins testified.
She visited Clancy at her rehab center in March 2023.
“At any point in time did she mention the death of her children?” the prosecutor asked.
“No,” Bevins replied.
“At any point in time did she break down in tears and cry about her children?” the prosecutor asked.
“No,” Bevins said.
“I remember also being told not to bring that up specifically,” she said.
Christopher Clancy, Lindsay Clancy’s former father-in-law, also took the stand.
Do you have an opinion as to how Lindsay was as a mother, that you could see?” defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked.
“She was very, very good,” Christopher Clancy said. “The All-American family.”
“I knew she was having a hard time sleeping,” he said.
Finally, jurors were left with words from Lindsay Clancy in 2021 about Dawson.
“I’m truly finding my 19-month-old to be the most difficult human I’ve ever encountered. I mean that with all love in my heart, but I honestly cannot make it through a day without getting so frustrated with him,” Clancy wrote.

There was also a motions hearing after the jury was dismissed. Kevin Reddington asked to add three expert witnesses, including one who could testify that Clancy’s injuries were consistent with someone who “dove out of a window” and landed on their head.
Testimony resumes at 9 a.m. Friday.
