Tonight’s Music in the Park concert in West Kelowna has been cancelled due to fire smoke.
The City of West Kelowna has announced that Cultural Music Night will not go ahead.
“We want to thank the artists TG, J Byrd and Alma Cubana – their music will be missed tonight, and we hope they can return in the future,” said the city in a brief statement.
Music in the Park runs through to Friday, August 28, with concerts taking place every Friday evening at the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre. Each show runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and usually features an emerging artist, opening act, and headliner.
The July 24 show was also cancelled due to poor air quality.
