Hull City set to test Premier League rival’s resolve with audacious transfer bid

Hull City have firmed up their interest in Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor and are pushing to try and tempt the Black Cats into allowing the frontman to leave.
City have identified Isidor as a player they believe can bolster their attacking ranks and provide significant competition for talismanic striker Oli McBurnie.
Isidor scored six times in the top flight last season, including one on his debut in a 3-0 win over West Ham at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats secured a Europa League finish in their first campaign back in the Premier League.
West Ham are one of the clubs linked with a move for the striker, but it’s understood he does not want to drop back down into the Championship.

Speaking during Sunderland’s pre-season trip to the USA, Isidor highlighted his desire to remain in the top-flight, adding: “I want to score more, but the Premier League is different. The biggest league in the world. The best players, the best stadiums and the best fans.”
Sunderland have been firm throughout the summer in their determination to keep Isidor on Wearside, but are thought to be open to a sale, provided their valuation is met and they can sign a replacement.
The 25-year-old was born in France, but changed his international allegiance to Haiti in March and played in the World Cup earlier this summer, scoring against Morocco.
City had been working on a deal for Benfica frontman Franjo Ivanovic, but have now seemingly moved on from the Croatian and have moved for Isisdor.
The Tigers also remain on course to wrap up deals for Elliot Stroud, Leon Bailey, Lucas Herrington and Nobel Mendy in the coming days.
Meanwhile, City haven’t given up hope of striking a big deal for Deportivo de A Coruña sensation Yeremay Hernánde, though at this stage, a deal looks unlikely. The 23-year-old Spaniard has emerged as a real hot prospect in the Segunda Division in Spain, but German giants Borussia Dortmund appear favourites to snap him up.
