Pete Wicks has once again shown his support for his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Przystal as he shared a sweet message live on air.

The reality star and podcast and radio host participated in the 2024 series of the BBC One dance contest, where he was partnered with professional dancer and Strictly 2022 champion, Jowita.

The duo made it to the semi-final, narrowly missing out on a spot in the final after losing the dance-off against finalists Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec.

Despite not winning the Glitterball trophy, they have maintained a close friendship and continue to support each other.

Pete appeared on Tuesday’s (October 7) episode of ITV Lorraine, to speak about his new campaign What Makes a Man, which focuses on men’s mental health.

However it didn’t take long for talk to turn to his Strictly Come Dancing stint as host Lorraine went on to say: “Obviously you did Strictly last year with Jowita, and now she’s with Ross King.”

Pete jumped in: “Yes, she’s got your guy.” Lorraine continued: “Now Ross, the relief that he didn’t get out first. He was never going to get out first, he did himself proud. Do you have any advice or anything you would say to Ross?”

Pete took the opportunity to pay a sweet tribute to his former dance partner as he replied: “Listen, he has got the best teacher in the world. Jowita is incredible and if she can drag me to the semi final, she can work miracles.”

He continued: “He’s starting in a better position than me, he is a better dancer than I was so all he has got to do is listen to Jowita and just embrace the experience. When will you ever get the chance to do something like this?”

Pete couldn’t help but send some support to his close friend, who is also competing in the show as he said: “My best friend is doing it as well, Vicky Pattison. She is an incredible dancer and I think she is going to go all the way, mark my words.”

Lorraine agreed with his statement as she replied: “I do as well, I agree with you. I think she is an incredible dancer but she just has to have more belief in herself because you can see she is nervous but it’s fine to be, you would be nervous.”

She continued: “She is incredible and she is definitely one to watch, along with our Ross of course,” as Pete added: “Of course.”

Jowita was back performing alongside her new celebrity partner, ITV star Ross King. They were revealed as one of this year’s partnerships during the pre-recorded launch show last month and made their performing debut last weekend.

They sadly only scored 10 out of a possible 40 points for their Cha Cha Cha to California Girls by Katy Perry, with Ross saying during week two of the competition that he’d had his confidence knocked as a result.

But Ross and Jowita upped their scored, as they were awarded 15 for their waltz to Sunshine On Leith by The Proclaimers, giving them an overall score of 25.

Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 6.55pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1 and ITVX
