NBC Midseason Premiere Dates Include OneChicago, ‘Hunting Party’

NBC has set premiere dates for its midseason lineup.

They include the new Tracy Morgan comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, from Robert Carlock and Sam Means, produced by Tina Fey. It debuts with an hourlong episode on Monday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m., before moving to its regular timeslot the following week on Monday, March 2 at 8:30 p.m.

The Voice will kick off its 29th season following the Reggie Dinkins premiere at 9 p.m. on Feb. 23. For its first week of the new season, The Voice, with returning judges Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine, will air three two-hour telecasts on Feb. 23 (9 p.m.), 25 (8 p.m.) and 26 (8 p.m.). Beginning March 2 (and after a March 4 telecast), The Voice will air in its normal 9 p.m. timeslot, followed by Brilliant Minds at 10 p.m.

Stalwart OneChicago returns to its usual Wednesday night slot on Jan. 7, with Chicago Med at 8 p.m., Chicago Fire at 9 p.m., rounding out the night at 10 p.m. with Chicago P.D.

The buzzy procedural drama The Hunting Party returns for its second season on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. It follows the return of Law & Order at 8 p.m. and Law & Order: SVU at 9 .m.

Also returning on Jan. 5 is game show The Wall, hosted by Emmy winner Chris Hardwick. Contestants this season include a national hero who helped evacuate the Pentagon on 9/11, a bystander who rescued a snowboarder buried headfirst beneath six feet of snow and a firefighter who adopted a newborn left in the station’s safe haven.

In addition, the network is gearing up for three massive sports events in February. The Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games begin with the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 6 and conclude with the Closing Ceremony on Feb. 22. Within that 17-day window, NBC Sports will also present Super Bowl LX from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 8 and the NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Feb. 15.

THE FALL AND RISE OF REGGIE DINKINS 

Disgraced former football star Reggie Dinkins (Tracy Morgan) is on a mission to rehabilitate his image with the help of award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe). In order to earn back the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family, Reggie will also have to confront the ghosts of his past. The cast includes Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe, Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall.  Robert Carlock and Sam Means serve as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers. Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Eric Gurian, and David Miner also executive produce.  The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means End Productions and Streetlife Productions, Inc.
