T20 World Cup Qualifier: Nepal to take on Kuwait in opening match today

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: As part of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers, Nepal will face Kuwait in their opening match today.

The match will be held at the Oman Cricket Academy in Al Amerat, Oman, and is scheduled to start at 8:45 PM Nepal time.

A total of nine teams are competing in this qualifier, divided into three groups. Group A includes Malaysia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while Group B features Nepal, Japan, and Kuwait. Group C consists of Oman, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. From there, the three highest-ranked teams will qualify for the T20 World Cup.

Nepal will play its second match against Japan on Friday.
