Couch believes Plymouth-born Daley’s competitive nature will shine through in the physical challenges though: “He’ll be smashing that, he will definitely want to win, but I think he will also help the guys.”
The programme begins on Wednesday.
Daley agrees he is in it to win: “Very competitive. Oh, I want to win. That’s the whole point of the game. I’m there to have fun, but at the same time I want to do well.”
A longtime fan of the show, Daley said: “I’ve watched the show forever… We play the game at games nights, so I cannot wait to be fully immersed.”
On whether he’d prefer to be a traitor or a faithful, Daley said: “I feel like being a traitor gives you the full experience… but I think I could do both roles quite well.”
