Eagles vs. Giants: Three must-know storylines for Thursday’s Week 6 prime-time game

1) This might be the spot for Barkley
Sunday’s loss to the Broncos was shocking in that Saquon Barkley had only one carry in the second half, in spite of the Eagles leading for much of it. He finished with six carries for 30 yards, his lowest output since 2021, as a member of the Giants. Barkley is now averaging a stunning 71.9 rushing yards fewer per game so far in 2025 than he averaged last season. In his one game against the Giants, he stung his former club, rushing for 176 yards and a touchdown and might be in line for a heavier workload on Thursday. The offensive line hasn’t been able to get a major push up front, but Barkley needs more opportunities to be the driving force with the Eagles’ passing game too hot and cold. The Giants can rush the passer, but they’re really struggling to stop the run game, even with modest improvements recently, allowing 5.3 yards per rush.
