The Swedish Academy has awarded László Krasznahorkai the Nobel Prize in literature “for his compelling and visionary oeuvre that, in the midst of apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the power of art,” said Mats Malm, the Swedish Academy’s permanent secretary, at a news conference in Stockholm on Thursday.
