Railway line remains closed following derailment

A freight train derailment will continue to cause “major disruption” on Thursday, National Rail has said.
Because of the damage done to the track and overhead power lines, there will be no trains running between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury until about 18:00 BST.
Network Rail said rail companies had arranged for bus services to replace the missing trains, and the line between Wolverhampton and Stafford was open but may be subject to some changes to services.
The company confirmed that no one was injured and no other trains were involved when a wagon derailed at Oxley, Wolverhampton, at about 20:30 BST on Tuesday.
