The show will drop on the streaming platform in 2026.
The 6×15 series cast includes Ricky Gervais, Tom Basden, Andrew Brooke, David Earl, Kerry Godliman, Jo Hartley, Diane Morgan, and also features Natalie Cassidy and Tony Way.
Natalie has now opened up about her stint in the upcoming animated comedy, and the moment she was asked by comedian superstar Ricky to be in the series.
Speaking to Chris Evans on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show today, Natalie was asked about the unexpected phonecall.
Chris asked Natalie: “The unexpected phone call from Ricky Gervais… you reckon you manifested this don’t you?”
Natalie said: “A little bit through Joe and David Earl who he works with, and I just said I’m such a fan and I love all his stuff.
“David Earl texted me and said ‘Ricky might ring you soon’ and I thought, ‘Don’t be so stupid…’ and then it was 20 past nine in the morning.
“I’d just done the school run. I said, ‘Hello’ he’s like ‘Hello Natalie it’s Ricky Gervais here’, and I just couldn’t believe it. I nearly fell over.
“And he asked me to be in Alley Cats to be a voice and I ran into the studio for a couple of days. It was the best two days.”
Chris asked: “Was he there?”

Natalie confirmed: “Yeah, and all the team were there, all the people that he works with and I did feel a little bit like a competition winner but I did the stuff.
“I did the stuff and I was just watching him improvise and all of these people just going like, ‘I love all of you. I watch you in After Life. I’ve watched everything.’
“Just going ‘Wow, I’m sat here’. It was just amazing.”
The series, Alley Cats, will follow the trials and tribulations of a group of feral British cats who seek companionship.
Speaking about his role in the series, Ricky previously said: “I play a fat, lazy, rude, opinionated creature with fangs, who’s not as smart or brave as he thinks he is. So quite a stretch.”
When Ricky shared the animated sneak peek of his new show, fans went wild.
One person said: “Omg! I was so hoping you were doing an animated show! I hope Pickle and her gang can get a cameo,” referring to Ricky’s cat Pickle.
Another said: “I can hear their voices already. Can’t wait! What a genius idea.”
While a third wrote: “Can’t wait!”
