Sources: Southern University hiring Marshall Faulk as head coach

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Southern University has found their head coach.
NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk will be SU’s next leader. A source told 9Sports “the deal is done.”
After one year as Colorado’s running back coach, Faulk will head to Baton Rouge for his first head coaching job ever.
An official announcement is scheduled for Monday, December 1.

Just over a week ago, university officials flew out to Boulder to interview the New Orleans native. A source also tells 9Sports that one prominent university donor has been spearheading the move to bring Faulk back to his home state.
Southern still has one more game left in this regular season as they will face Grambling State in the Bayou Classic Saturday at 1 p.m.
