Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day
Over 2.5 goals
Denmark vs Greece
World Cup qualifying, 7.45pm Sunday
Denmark were good value for last month’s 3-0 World Cup qualifying win in Greece and over 2.5 goals looks a great bet when the teams meet in Sunday’s return fixture.
The Danes had eight shots on target to Greece’s one in Piraeus, where they also hit the woodwork twice through Victor Froholt and Patrick Dorgu.
Both Froholt and Dorgu were on the scoresheet in Thursday’s 6-0 rout of Belarus although Scotland kept up the pressure on the Group C leaders by beating Greece 3-1 at Hampden Park.
The Greeks could easily have been 3-0 up before Scotland staged a second-half comeback and they started their qualifying campaign with a 5-1 victory over Belarus.
A draw is of little use to Greece, who trail Denmark and Scotland by four points, and their desperation for a victory should lead to another open game featuring at least three goals.
