College football rankings: Where Texas Longhorns stand after OU win

After falling out for the first time since the 2022 season last week, the Longhorns reclaimed their place in the AP Poll with a resounding 23-6 victory over then-No. 6 Oklahoma. The updated poll released Sunday afternoon put the Longhorns at No. 21.

The Sooners dropped down to No. 14 with the defeat.

Texas still has three ranked teams remaining on its schedule. The Longhorns will visit No. 9 Georgia, host No. 17 Vanderbilt and No. 4 Texas A&M. All three of those games will be played in November.

The new Coaches Poll also moved Texas up two places to No. 17.

Here’s a full look at the polls.
