PERRYSBURG TWP., Ohio (WTVG) – A First Solar employee died in an incident while on the job, a company spokesperson confirmed.
The death happened at the company’s facility on Cedar Park Blvd. in Perrysburg Twp. The company isn’t releasing details about what happened at this time out of respect for those affected and to “ensure the integrity of any ongoing investigations,” a statement from First Solar read. The person’s identity wasn’t released.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to our associate’s family, friends, and coworkers,” the statement read. “The safety and well-being of our employees is our highest priority, and we remain committed to maintaining a safe working environment across all our operations.”
