Surprising Name Released by WWE

WWE NXT Superstar Ridge Holland has announced that the company will not be renewing his contract. His current deal is set to expire on November 14.
The news comes just weeks after Holland suffered a serious Lisfranc foot injury. He was competing for TNA Wrestling at the time as part of the WWE-TNA crossover storyline.
In a social media post on Monday, Holland revealed the news and expressed his frustration with the timing of the decision. He noted that he will be unable to work for the next six months while recovering from his surgery.
“I’ve been informed that WWE will not be renewing my contract when it ends on November 14th,” Holland wrote. “WWE are still going to cover my rehab from injury but my guaranteed pay will end, quite frustrating to say the least as I cannot work for another 6 months due to the aforementioned injury, with a family of 5 to support.”

He continued, “My career with WWE has been blighted by misfortune but I’m still thankful and grateful for the opportunity and experience… I’m unsure what lies ahead of me in terms of wrestling but going forward I will be working hard to heal up and in that time I will be launching my own online coaching business.”
Holland, a former professional rugby player, signed with WWE in 2018 and has competed across NXT UK, the main roster, and the Evolve brand. His injury occurred during a TNA television taping in a match against Moose, and he underwent surgery on October 3.
The news of Holland’s impending departure is the latest in a series of recent roster changes for the NXT brand. Just last Friday, the company released a number of other Performance Center talents, suggesting a significant roster shake-up is underway as the brand heads towards the Halloween Havoc special.
