The pair, who rose to fame together during the girl band’s meteoric success in the early 2000s, have shared a lifelong friendship forged through years of chart-topping hits, world tours, and unforgettable moments in pop history.

Liam, the former One Direction star, tragically died last October aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Investigations revealed multiple injuries, with toxicology reports showing alcohol, cocaine, and antidepressants in his system.
The investigation into Liam Payne’s death remains ongoing, with five people initially charged. In February 2025, negligent homicide charges were dropped against three, while two others face charges of supplying drugs to Payne. Cheryl has been kept informed, and despite the ongoing legal complexities, her resilience continues to shine.
