Married At First Sight UK fans are certain they’ve cracked the code behind Joe’s sudden change of heart towards his wife Maeve.
The pair, Maeve, 29, and Joe, 31, got off to a bumpy beginning due to their clashing personalities, but they’ve since ironed out their differences and grown closer, even becoming physically intimate.
They’ve appeared to be the ideal match recently, with both declaring their love for one another, yet it seems too perfect as Joe has done a complete about-face following a heated row.
In Wednesday’s (October 15) instalment of the E4 reality dating programme, the couples were divided, with husbands and wives enjoying separate activities on different outings.
Whilst one group indulged in a lavish spa experience, the other ventured out for cocktails, reports the Mirror.

This time apart has allowed the couples to share their feelings openly, and it’s evident that friction is building between Maeve and Joe.
Speaking candidly to his fellow husband, Joe confessed: “I haven’t been my full self this week. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on at home and my grandad just died, which doesn’t help at all.”
Discussing his marriage, he went on: “Me and Maeve had this argument last night and I’ve just got huge doubts in my head. I just said can you just look after yourself a bit more this week, go get your nails done, have a sun bed and just do whatever you need to do to feel good.”
He continued: “Then she just stormed off and got really angry and that just wound me up because I didn’t understand the reaction. She is 0 to 100 rapid and it’s not how I deal with s*** at all, not at all and because she came at me I was absolutely fuming.”

Meanwhile, Maeve also confided in her fellow co-star about the situation. Oblivious to Joe’s true feelings, they all comforted Maeve that there was nothing to be concerned about.
Back at the spa, Joe revealed: “Me and Maeve have been in this bubble and I’ve been blind about the differences we have and maybe we are not compatible but because we have been in this bubble I ignored it all and bottled it all up. it’s affected me because I haven’t been able to be my full self.”
Joe faltered when questioned if he loved Maeve, responding: “I do genuinely have love for her, like I do.”
He paused before adding: “huh.. I do love her in a way but am I truly head over heels truly in love… probably not. There is a massive difference and now I’m thinking is this going to work.”
Joe confessed that the entire experience was becoming too much for him, prompting his decision to depart the spa.

Speaking directly to the camera, he revealed: “It’s been very hard for me bottling all this up and I really feel like I can’t do it today. I’m feeling very overwhelmed, exhausted and I need to leave and have some time to myself.”
Viewers at home were quick to take to social media, speculating about a potential spark between Joe and Sarah, who exited the experiment last night.
One viewer queried: “Is Joe going to find Sarah? #MAFSUK” Another quipped: “Imagining that Sarah is hiding behind that large plant eyeing Joe’s tattoos whilst he is talking to Ash! #mafsuk.”
