Noah Donohoe CCTV released in appeal for information | UTV | ITV News

CCTV showing the final moments of schoolboy Noah Donohoe, who went missing in Belfast and was found dead in a storm drain, have been released by the coroner in a renewed appeal for information.

The footage, shows the 14-year-old leave his south Belfast apartment at around 3.30am on 21 June 2020 and returning just over 30 minutes later.

It shows the teen leave the building on Fitzroy Avenue in shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops and carrying headphones. He returns without his flip flops and headphones.

It is the last known time he was seen alive, the Coroner’s Service has said.

On leaving the address Noah turns right, walking west in the direction of Queen’s University. When he is next captured on CCTV, on his return home, he was on University Street, coming from the direction of Ormeau Road and walking in the direction of Queen’s University.

From there, he turned left onto Dudley Street and then right onto Fitzroy Avenue, turning immediately into his home address.

Coroner Mr Justice Rooney, in his appeal asked for anyone who may know:

  • Why Noah left home that night

  • Where he went

  • Whether he met anyone

  • What happened his flip-flops and/or his headphones

  • Noah having been out in the early hours of the morning on any otheroccasion.

Noah, 14, was found dead in a storm drain in north Belfast in June 2020, six days after he went missing as he cycled to meet friends.

Coroner Mr Justice Rooney is presiding over the inquest for the St Malachy’s College pupil.

The inquest before a jury, which has been delayed several times previously, had been scheduled to begin on November 3.
