Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner (D) responded dismissively to a cartoon about sexual assault in the military and a video promoting underwear designed to prevent rape in unearthed Reddit comments from 2013. He also urged people to avoid alcohol so they don’t end up in a “compromising situation” and downplayed the challenges servicemembers face in reporting sexual assault in several posts.
