The Robins started the season firing on all cylinders, scoring 12 goals in their opening five league games and going unbeaten. City have since netted on just three occasions and earned two points.

Last season, City completed the double over the Canaries, beating them 2-1 away from home and 2-0 at Ashton Gate.

The Robins’ last loss at Carrow Road came in a 3-2 loss in September 2022.

Our Opponents: Norwich City

Norwich City boss Liam Manning, arrived in East Anglia in June 2025 on a four-year deal, succeeding Johannes Hoff Thorup.

Manning, who previously led Bristol City to a top six finish and a play-off campaign, spent 18 months in BS3 and took charge of 82 games.

In the summer, Norwich City strengthened their squad with 20 new arrivals, while key players Jonathan Rowe, Borja Sainz and Marcelino Núñez all departed Carrow Road.

This season the Canaries have won two, drawn two and lost five league games.

Saturday’s hosts beat Portsmouth 2-1 in gameweek two and Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the end of August and are without a win since.

Draws to Coventry City and Stoke City came amongst a narrow defeat to Wrexham and West Bromwich Albion and a 3-1 loss to Ipswich Town.

Despite being 19th in the league table and only two points clear of the relegation zone, Manning’s side have shown quality in front of goal, scoring in eight of their nine league games.

Defensively, Norwich City have kept just one clean sheet, conceding 14 goals in the process.

ONE TO WATCH: JOSH SARGENT

Born in Missouri, United States, Josh Sargent began his career at St Louis Scott Gallagher, a US Soccer Development Academy.

In 2017, Sargent joined Werder Bremen and signed his first professional contract on his 18th birthday. The United States international made 83 appearances for Bremen’s first team in all competitions and scored 11 goals and contributed with nine assists.

Sargent impressed as a young player and made history as the first US player to feature at the Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups and earn a senior call up in the same calendar year.

The forward signed for Norwich City during the 2021/22 summer transfer window from Werder Bremen and has since made 143 appearances and scored 54 goals.

On his full debut for the Canaries he scored twice and assisted once in a 6-0 win over AFC Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.

Since Norwich City’s relegation, Sargent has thrived in the second tier, scored 49 times in just 107 league appearances.

This season, Sargent has scored five league goals and netted once in the Carabao Cup. Sargent began the season in fine form, scoring in Norwich’s first four games of the season, including twice in their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

Since then, the 25-year-old has failed to score and will be hoping to get back on the scoresheet against the Robins having previously scored in a 3-2 win against City in September 2022.
