Major show extends contract at Harrogate Convention Centre

Harrogate Convention Centre has signed a new contract with the Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show to host the event until 2028.

The convention centre announced the news today (October 17), ahead of this year’s show from October 31 to November 2.

Th 31-year-old show is one of six large-scale exhibitions taking place at the venue this autumn.

According to organisers, the exhibition is expected to attract around 10,000 visitors and generate £766,000, excluding project spend, in business to the spa town’s hospitality sector.

More than 240 exhibitors will be showcasing sustainable living products and building and renovation solutions at the 2025 show, which also includes seminars and masterclasses.

Convention centre director Paula Lorimer said multi-day exhibitions at this scale “bring significant traffic to local hotels, restaurants, bars and shops after the summer holiday season” and Simon Cotton, managing director of the HRH Group, which own the Fat Badger and White Hart Hotel, along with The Pickled Sprout and Yorkshire Hotel, said it was “great news for Harrogate”.
