Arkansas football quarterback Taylen Green exits Texas A&M game with injury

FAYETTEVILLE — An awkward tackle forced Arkansas football quarterback Taylen Green to leave the game during the second quarter of the Razorbacks game against Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Green elected to keep the football on a read-option and was brought down from behind by Texas A&M linebacker Daymion Stafford. Green stayed on the ground for a couple minutes before needing assistance to leave the field.
Green went into the injury tent and was replaced by redshirt freshman KJ Jackson. On third down, Jackson connected with CJ Brown for a minimal gain. Arkansas had to settle for a field goal deep inside Texas A&M territory.
Green was 3-for-7 for 38 yards prior to the injury. He had three carries for 44 yards, and the Hogs trailed the Aggies 14-6 early in the second quarter.
Jackson completed all three of his passing attempts for 70 yards while rushing once for a six-yard touchdown during the fourth quarter of a win over Arkansas State in Week 2. These will be the first meaningful snaps of his career.
