Donald Trump appeared to lose his cool with reporters during a live segment on BBC Breakfast after a tense exchange broke out aboard Air Force One. The US President was taking questions from journalists about the peace deal he is working to secure between Palestine and Israel, following his successful efforts in gaining a ceasefire in Gaza.
However, the situation quickly escalated when a British reporter pressed him with a challenging question. The reporter asked: “I wanted to ask you about your conversation with world leaders today. You said that everybody is unified over your plan, but we heard from President El-Sisi calling for the two state solution and independent Palestinians.”
But Trump fired back, saying: “You’re talking about a different plan, I’m talking about something very much different, I’m talking about rebuilding Gaza.”
Explaining himself, Trump continued: “I’m not talking about single state or double state or two state. We’re talking about the rebuilding of Gaza.”
Trump was then challenged by a reporter who asked: “What’s the road ahead with governing?” to which he responded: “Well, we’ll have to see. A lot of people like the one-state solution, some people like a two-state solution so we’ll have to see. I haven’t commented on that.”
When Trump was asked: “How do you see bridging that gap?,” he was calm as he replied, saying: “At some point I decide what I think is right, but I’d be in coordination with other states and other countries.”

However, the exchange quickly grew tense when the journalist pressed further, asking: “And are you satisfied? I mean, some people might say it feels premature declaring peace for the whole Middle East-“ before being abruptly cut off by Trump.
The US president, visibly frustrated, interrupted mid-question, responding sharply before the reporter could finish, the Express reports.
Trump snapped back: “Premature? Why? You want more people to be killed? What do you want, another 300,000, 400,000 people to be killed, is that what you’re looking for?”
The reporter attempted to clarify, saying: “But in terms of the risks in Gaza-” but was once again cut off by Trump.
As Trump shot back: “Risk? Risk? So we let them fight on for another couple of years? Let some more buildings fall down on top of people, keep it going? No, no, we did it the right way. I think our timing was perfect, actually. You don’t really mean that, you mean you want them to fight on.”
Trying to regain control of the exchange, the reporter continued: “I’m just asking about the phase of negotiations and how confident you are.”
Trump ended the tense back-and-forth with a simple reply: “We have a lot of power. That was a power rule.”
