Redefining the cat-and-mouse dynamic, the show certainly broke the mould of what people had come to expect from reality TV shows.
Now, with the increased presence and impact of social media and the development of tracking systems, it seems as though slipping under the radar is a lot harder now than when the show first started.
The show has also produced several successful celebrity versions of the format, with the adaptation providing its own challenges of trying to move around undetected.
Series 4 remains the only series in which the hunters have actually won. Not a great track record on their part.
The overall premise has proved extremely successful; take 14 ordinary people and turn them into fugitives on the run. A team of highly trained experts spends 21 days trying to track them down. If they manage to reach the last day undetected, they will receive a large sum of money.
You can’t argue with a winning formula.
With 3 contestants in the current series already captured by the hunters, it begs the question. Who will make it to the end? Or will the hunters manage to capture everyone for a second time?
When does Hunted 2025 start?
The latest series of The Hunted started on 12th October.
All episodes are available to watch on Channel 4 every Sunday at 9pm.

What is Hunted’s prize money?
The maximum amount of prize money for the show is £100,000.
The amount of money in the prize pot has stayed the same since the series started a decade ago.
The total pot is divided equally among all individuals or teams who successfully evade the Hunters and make it to the final extraction point.
When does Hunted 2025 finish?
The current series is scheduled to run weekly for 6 episodes with the finale taking place on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The last episode will bring the series to a dramatic climax as we find out which contestants will evade the hunters and reach the final extraction point.
Viewers will not have to wait too long for their next chance to see the show as the 7th series of Celebrity Hunted, produced in aid of Stand Up to Cancer, has been confirmed and is expected to air in 2026.
