Doug Martin cause of death: How did former NFL running back die?

Doug Martin, a former All-Pro running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has died at the age of 36.
TMZ reported the initial news of Martin’s death.
A stalwart, all-around running back, Martin made two Pro Bowls (2012, 2025) and was selected to one First-Team All-Pro season (2015) during his NFL career. Martin had two separate seasons with at least 1,400 rushing yards and even nearly broached 2,000 yards from scrimmage in 2012. He finished his professional playing days with over 5,300 rushing yards and over 1,200 yards receiving. Martin was often affectionately referred to as “Muscle Hamster” because of his powerful stature and a bruising play style despite only standing at 5-foot-9.
