Beaumont highways face usual rush hour traffic this evening
Traffic on Beaumont highways is picking up as rush hour nears.
U.S. 69 northbound is seeing heavier traffic as rush hour approaches, according to the TxDOT traffic maps and cameras. Drivers will face congestion and slowdowns between Mercantile Street and South 4th Street. Congestion builds just before Fannett Road near Warren Street, but clears near the Interstate 10 and U.S. 69 interchange.
U.S. 69 southbound is also facing some traffic between Austin Street and Harrison Avenue.
Traffic is heavier than usual on I-10 westbound. Those traveling from Rose City can expect heavy traffic just before the Neches River near West Freeway Boulevard, according to TxDOT maps and cameras. The heavy traffic continues past the I-10 and U.S. 90 interchange near Pine Street and Babe Zaharias Park. Traffic eases near Finger Street, just before the I-10 and U.S. 69 interchange at Toccoa Street.
