Mel C breaks silence on Spice Girls feud and reveals which band members are in talks for reunion

MEL C has broken her silence on Spice Girls feud rumours and has revealed which band members are in talks for a reunion.
It’s been 14 years since all five women performed together last at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony and fans have been eagerly awaiting a reunion, especially since it’s the band’s 30th anniversary this year.

Mel C along with Mel B, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Emma Bunton reunited in 2019 for the Spice World Tour, but Victoria Beckham chose not to participate.
The women did however reunite at Posh Spice’s 50th birthday in April 2024, where they did a surprise performance of their hit song Stop.
During an appearance on The Rebecca Judd Show on Apple Music 1, Mel admitted she didn’t want to “throw anybody under the bus” but herself, Mel B and Emma have been in talks for the milestone.
The 52-year-old explained: “We’re closer in that Emma’s rooting for it too! You know what, I’m not going to throw anybody under the bus.

“We all are so proud, of course we are, of our legacy. It’s amazing. And it is 30 years and we do have to celebrate that in some way this year. I’m always optimistic.
“I think me and Mel B are the cheerleaders and Emma’s totally with us, but we all love it so much.
“I think it’s so precious to us. We’re frightened to do it the wrong way.
“So it’s like we’re still working, we’re always talking, lines of communication are open and we are just waiting until we all decide on exactly the best way to do it,” she divulged.
It comes after the two band members who Mel didn’t mention were in discussions, Victoria and Geri, were reported to be feuding with one another.
Victoria snubbed Geri as she took to Instagram to wish Mel C a happy birthday with a picture of the band minus Ginger Spice.
She captioned the story post: “Happy Birthday @melaniecmusic! Kisses @officialmelb @emmaleebunton xxx.”
Last year, it was reported that Victoria had been left out of planning for the reunion with their old manager Simon Fuller spearheading the anniversary.
A source told The Mail’s Alison Boshoff: “Simon Fuller planning a tour has caused yet another schism. Victoria is f****d off that they have gone with him and there is no way that she will be a part of it.
“The bad feeling seems to go back to her and David having to spend millions on buying him out of Beckham Brand Holdings.
“He still has a stake and board seat on her fashion business. There is resentment there.
“But Simon Fuller is the only person who could get Geri to rejoin the Spice Girls.
“He is also the one person in the world who could never persuade Victoria.”
It was also reported in 2024 that Geri had derailed a lucrative deal for the five women.
Insiders said all five were approached about a TV drama series which would land them £1million each.
It was claimed that the other women were up for it but it didn’t end up materialising as Geri wasn’t keen.
While the band formed in 1994, the 2026 anniversary marks 30 years since they shot to fame with their first global hit, Wannabe.
