Kagiso Rabada entered his name in the history books on Wednesday (October 22) by breaking the record of highest individual score by a No. 11 batter in Test cricket for South Africa. The 30-year-old pacer from Johannesburg came out to bat at No. 11 on Wednesday and was batting on 63 runs from 50 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes) at the end of the 117th over in South Africa’s first innings.
Before Rabada, the record of the highest individual score in Test cricket by a No. 11 batter for South Africa was in the name of Bert Vogler. Vogler remained unbeaten on 62 runs for South Africa in their first innings of the Cape Town Test played against England in 1906.
