It’s MAFSAU Reunion Dinner Party Day! And wow, did a lot go down during tonight’s episode. From Rachel and Steven’s heart-shattering breakup, to Alissa and David’s tense reunion, and the surprise news of Filip and Stella’s engagement, it was non-stop drama. But easily the biggest plot-twist of the night? Danny and Steph’s burgeoning new friendship.
The pair didn’t have much interaction during their time on the show, in part due to Steph’s short and sweet appearance on MAFSAU as her marriage to Tyson was in a word – brief. However, it seems that since the experiment ended the pair have struck up a relationship and everyone is wondering, is it romantic? Here’s what to know.

What happened with MAFSAU’s Danny and Steph?
During the reunion it was revealed by Bec that Danny (who she says she was still in love with btw) was messaging Steph.
Bec discovered this information after Steph told her the pair had been messaging, and Steph had sent Danny a bikini photo while she was away on holiday and Danny had sent heart emojis in reaction to a voicenote Steph had sent.
Throughout the dinner party the pair insisted it was a friendship connection and they bonded over their shared real estate jobs. Danny also insisted he sends heart emojis to everyone and it wasn’t an indication of something romantic between them.
Are MAFSAU’s Danny and Steph together now?
No! The pair have insisted they are only friends and Steph has since spoken more about the messages, revealing the context behind why she sent Danny a bikini picture.
She revealed the pair had been chatting about work and she mentioned how she was in Hamilton Island, and Danny said he had never been there. Steph then proceeded to send him a selection of pictures including one of her in a bikini.

Many fans have since pointed out Bec had originally commented four fire emojis underneath the post, before discovering Danny had also been sent the images.
As for where Steph and Danny stand now, Steph said: “He’s a friend, that’s it. I treat him like anyone else in this experiment. I choose my friendships based on the individual and how that individual treats me.
“I’m not here to be getting caught up in Bec and Danny’s drama. I couldn’t care less. At the end of the day, I’ve got an individual relationship with Danny. He’s lovely to me. I’m lovely back.”
