DOT will cut traffic 10% at 40 airports starting Friday if shutdown continues

Washington
—
The Federal Aviation Administration will cut air traffic by 10% at 40 airports across the country starting Friday, if shutdown continues.
The “draw down in service” at these busy airports come as air traffic control staffing shortages have caused delays.
“We are going to proactively make decisions that keep the airspace safe,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in at a conference Wednesday in Washington.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
