Beloved AAA Hobbies and Crafts shop that dates to 1950s announces closure

AAA Hobbies and Crafts in Camden County plans to close it doors permanently next year, ending more than four decades of serving the hobby community in Camden County.
Alan and Michael Bass posted a social media announcement about the closure last week.
The owners of the store, located at 706 N. White Horse Pike, explained the decision came after months of family discussions.
“After lengthy and heartfelt consideration, we’ve made the decision that 2026 will be the last year of operation for AAA Hobbies and Crafts,” the owners wrote. “This was a personal decision made by our entire family.”
The business has operated for three generations and employed hundreds of workers over the years.
The store opened in 1983, but the business dates back to the 1950s, according to the website.
The Bass brothers said the company has aimed to serve as a trusted partner to customers and suppliers nationwide.
“The values instilled by our founders — integrity, honesty, and fairness — have guided every decision we’ve ever made, and will continue to do so through our final day,” they wrote.
The owners acknowledged their departure will create a gap in the local hobby market.
They expressed hope that other businesses with similar values will step in to serve customers.
“To everyone who has been part of this journey — employees, suppliers, customers, and friends — thank you,” Alan and Michael Bass wrote. “Your support over the last 40 olus years has meant more than words can express.”
