The Deacs have a huge test ahead of them in the opening round of the Baha Mar Championship MTE, taking on #15 Texas Tech. The Red Raiders lost in the Elite Eight last season to the eventual champion Florida Gators, and they brought back one of the best players in the nation in JT Toppin. Toppin is currently averaging 24.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game on 55% shooting from the floor, so Wake must make keeping him out of the paint and off the glass a priority in this game. Hopefully Spillers can stay out of foul trouble in this one, because Wake is going to need him.
