‘Ugly’ Day in Las Vegas as Rain Rolls Through

Rain moved through Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday, November 18, prompting a flood warning from the National Weather Service (NWS).

According to the NWS, 0.5 inches of rain had fallen at Harry Reid Airport (LAS) by late Tuesday, with more showers expected through the night.

Footage shared by Clark County, Nevada, shows rain from the rooftop of the government center.

“It’s ugly in Las Vegas. Looks like early evening, not early afternoon. Rain and low clouds are making the Strip tough to see from the top of our Gov’t Center, less than 2 miles away. The mountains are totally shrouded,” the county wrote. Credit: Clark County Nevada via Storyful
