Final Injury Report for Pelicans-Warriors, Will Stephen Curry, Jonathan Kuminga Play?

In Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets, Jimmy Butler led the way for the Warriors as he recorded 21 points, five rebounds and five assists while Draymond Green added 12 points, nine rebounds and eight assists of his own.

Now Golden State will try to bounce back at home on Saturday night as they host a struggling Pelicans team.

On the other side, New Orleans enters Saturday’s contest with a 3-16 record after losing at home to the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime on Wednesday night.

Jose Alvarado led the way for the Pelicans in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 24 points and five rebounds off the bench while Saddiq Bey recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Pelicans Injury Report, Will Trey Murphy III, Jordan Poole Play?

For the Pelicans, they have six players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s game, including both Trey Murphy III and Jordan Poole.

New Orleans has listed Murphy III as questionable due to right elbow soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game of the season.

If Murphy III is sidelined against the Warriors, Bey, Micah Peavy and Bryce McGowens could be in line for larger roles while the Pelicans will likely rely on Zion Williamson to carry the load offensively.

The Pelicans have ruled out Poole as he continues to be sidelined due to a left quad strain while Herb Jones has also been ruled out due to a right calf strain.

Jordan Hawkins has been ruled out due to an illness while both Karlo Matkovic and Dejounte Murray remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.

On the other side, the Warriors have five players listed on their injury report, including both Stephen Curry and Jonathan Kuminga.

Golden State has ruled out Curry due to a left quad contusion as he is expected to miss at least a week due to the injury.

With Curry sidelined, Brandin Podziemski and Will Richard could continue to have increased roles for the Warriors.

The Warriors have also ruled out Al Horford due to right sciatic nerve irritation while De’Anthony Melton remains sidelined while recovering from ACL surgery.

Jonathan Kuminga has been listed as questionable due to bilateral knee patellar tendonitis while Gary Payton II is listed as probable and is expected to play despite dealing with a left ankle sprain.
