I’m A Celebrity star Alex Scott has called out ITV over ‘what’s been shown’ on the programme after watching the series following her elimination.

The former Lioness, who played 140 games for her country and made over 200 club appearances, became the first contestant sent home from the Australian jungle last week. Alex was put at risk on the series due to losing to EastEnders actress Shona McGarty in a drinking challenge during the live trial.

Alex’s elimination arrived after viewers had to decide whether to save her, Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne, musician Martin Kemp, Manchester streamer Angry Ginge, rapper Aitch, Loose Women’s Kelly Brook or American comedian Ruby Wax.

The 41-year-old landed in hot water with the I’m A Celebrity bosses when she was caught shaking something into her campmates dinner dishes, which was being prepared by Jack.

It turned out that it wasn’t just the crocodile feet she made more flavoursome, but had gotten away with it for over a week. With contraband strictly forbidden from camp, the following night’s episode saw the campmates stripped of a star which was won by Aitch in the following Bushtucker Trial.

Additionally, campmates were informed that there was a contraband amnesty and they had the opportunity to surrender all smuggled goods without facing further punishment.

One week on from her exit, Alex appeared on Friday morning’s (December 5) episode of Lorraine, which was being presented by Ranvir Singh, to reflect on her time in the jungle. However, Alex admitted that she was wasn’t pleased by some of the things that were left on the cutting room floor.

“It’s me actually being out and learning what’s been aired and what’s been shown. I had so much fun, and that bit wasn’t shown. I had so much fun. I was called the Games Master in there, the stuff that I was doing with everyone.

“It’s only an hour show so only so much can go into the edit but when I reflect, I wish more of the fun stuff, people had seen that side of me. I wanted them to see the more fun Alex Scott that they didn’t see,” she said.

When it comes to who she thinks is going to win the series on Sunday (December 7), Alex made another jab at the show’s production. According to Alex, rapper Aitch and YouTuber Angry Ginge have had ‘all the airtime’ and one of them will likely end up being crowned king of the jungle.

She explained: “Ginge and Aitch have had all the airtime and everyone has seen them, but my special bond with Shona, I don’t think the public have seen the real journey she’s been, she’s spoken so much about her anxiety and her fun side but I don’t think anyone has seen it. I want her to win but it’s gonna be between the boys, isn’t it?”

Away from the limelight, Alex has been in a relationship with pop star Jess Glynne for the past two years. The Hold My Hand singer did not travel to Australia to meet Alex at the I’m A Celebrity bridge due to her mum having a medical emergency.

“I came out and saw that Jess wasn’t at the end of the bridge, her mum has suffered a really bad stroke and had to have brain surgery so I had to rush home and be with my Jessica.

“She’s in critical care at the moment so we’ve been at the hospital every day and straight after here we’re heading straight there,” she said.

She continued: “It’s been a tough time for us and obviously her family, and it was a tough decision to come into the jungle, but then Jess never wanted me to step away from not doing it.

“I knew there was always a possibility of her not being across the bridge, if her mum hadn’t got better, or if things had been getting worse, which they have been. But it was a big decision for me to not pass this opportunity, and Jess was the one that pushed me to be here.”
