Canadiens-Penguins puck drop delayed due to traffic incident

Montreal Canadiens fans will have to wait an extra few minutes to catch the debut of their young netminder.

Puck drop for their road clash against the Pittsburgh Penguins has been delayed to 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT after a traffic accident occurred nearby PPG Paints Arena.

Fans were encouraged to avoid using I-279 after an incident in the southbound lane.

The Canadiens have travelled to Pittsburgh with rookie goalie Jacob Fowler, who is set to make his first career start against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.

Speaking of Crosby, he trails Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux by just five points for the franchise lead with 1,718 and has netted three goals with three assists in his last five contests.
