Green Bay Packers News: Erase all expectations for 2025

Whatever you thought the Green Bay Packers could, should, or would accomplish over the rest of the 2025 season is probably now off the table. Wipe the slate clean. Spend the next three weeks (or more, if we’re fortunate) free from emotion and disappointment. Because without Micah Parsons, it sure feels like the Packers are on the verge of collapse.
Is that a bit dramatic? Perhaps. But it’s also an attempt to be realistic about what this team’s ceiling is now that Parsons is all but assuredly out for the rest of the year. At Acme Packing Company, we’ll be trying to press the reset button on our emotional pain scale these last few weeks as we prepare for the worst.
Fundamentally, the pass rush has been abysmal this season aside from Parsons’ contributions, and the pass defense had no answers in Denver on Sunday when giving Bo Nix time to throw. That’s not likely to get any better in a rematch with Caleb Williams this Saturday, so out-scoring the Bears in a shootout might be the most feasible approach.
Hopefully Zach Tom and Christian Watson will be able to play next weekend; if not, it could well be a long, ugly evening at Soldier Field. And if something goes right? Well, then let’s enjoy the surprise.
