De’Von Achane injury update for Dolphins on Monday night

At one point in this NFL season, the Miami Dolphins sat with an abysmal 1-6 record. It seemed like a foregone conclusion that head coach Mike McDaniel would eventually pay for such poor performance with his job. The Dolphins are a good reminder that an NFL season is very long because they have since won five of their last six games and now have an (unlikely) shot at the AFC playoffs.
That’s not the only good news for the Dolphins as they prep for a Monday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After leaving last week’s win over the New York Jets early, starting running back De’Von Achane is expected to play against the Steelers. It’s unclear exactly what injury Achane was dealing with. Even still, that’s all water under the bridge for a red-hot Dolphins team:
At the time of this writing, Achane is fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (1,126) and second in yards per carry (5.8). Needless to say, the Dolphins having him healthy and available is a big deal.
