What’s New for 2026 Model Year
The Honda Accord lineup starts with turbocharged Accord LX and SE models, which have received significant upgrades inside and out for the 2026 model year. Inside, the well-equipped Accord LX and SE now feature a 9-inch color touchscreen, almost 30% larger, with a physical volume knob, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, plus a Qi-compatible 15W wireless phone charger – all standard.

Moreover, Honda has enhanced the sporty appearance and handling dynamics of the Accord SE with a new set of larger 19-inch wheels and tires (+2 inches) with an aggressive five-spoke design.

For 2026, the Accord Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid add new black exterior accents. Accord Sport Hybrid gains black window trim and both models now feature black decklid badging, complementing their black door mirrors, a black shark fin antenna and gloss-black B-pillar trim.

Powerful and Efficient
The hybrid-electric powered Accord Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring feature the powerful and efficient Honda two-motor hybrid system with a total system output of 204 hp and 247 lb.-ft of torque. Accord hybrid models deliver quick and responsive acceleration and have earned outstanding EPA fuel economy ratings of up to 51 mpg3 city and 48 mpg3 combined (EX-L).

The Honda two-motor hybrid system does not require a traditional transmission or CVT for driving and generating power. The hybrid system relies on the interplay of the two motors rather than use a torque converter or mechanical pulley or belt. This form of direct drive force transfer offers smooth and predictable acceleration matched with efficient low-rpm highway cruising when the gasoline engine is in operation.

Linear Shift Control further elevates the driving experience by mimicking the vehicle speed-linked rev feel associated with a conventional drivetrain shifting gears under acceleration.

Accord LX and SE are powered by a smooth and responsive 1.5-liter turbo engine with VTEC® variable valve lift technology. Producing 192 horsepower (SAE net at 6,000 rpm) and 192 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm, the all-aluminum engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) featuring Step-Shift programming that simulates gear changes at full throttle.

Safety Performance Leadership
Based on the longstanding Honda “Safety for Everyone” approach, a commitment to advancing safety for everyone sharing the road, the 11th-generation Accord is a safety performance leader in the midsize sedan class with advanced active and passive safety technology standard on every Accord.

All 2026 Accords come standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of driver-assistive technologies that includes Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Traffic Jam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR), Forward Collision Warning and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM). Blind spot information system with Cross Traffic Monitor also is standard on Accord SE and up.

Every Accord also includes the proprietary Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure designed to help protect occupants in a wide variety of frontal collisions, along with advanced supplemental restraint systems.

The advanced driver and passenger front airbags in Accord were designed to minimize the potential for severe brain trauma associated with angled frontal collisions. The front driver’s airbag uses an innovative donut-shaped structure to cradle the head to reduce rotation in a collision. The passenger-side front airbag uses a three-chamber design with the two outer chambers designed to achieve a similar result. All Accord models feature front seatbelt pretensioners, and side, driver and front-passenger knee and side-curtain airbags.

In addition, both Rear Seat Reminder and Rear Seatbelt Reminder are standard across the lineup.

Accord Manufacturing
The Honda Accord has been built using domestic and globally made parts at the Honda Marysville Auto Plant (MAP) in Ohio since the plant opened 43 years ago, based on the company’s commitment to build products close to the customer. The first international automaker to successfully establish auto production in America, Honda has produced more than 13 million Accords in Ohio since production began in 1982.
