This promise comes following the Autumn budget where Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced savings will be passed on in full to customers from April 1, 2026.
This includes those on existing fixed tariffs.
The Government says legacy costs and green levies mean that energy bills will be cut by an average of a £150 a year.
The news will be welcomed by many across the country who have been battered by energy price volatility over the past few years.

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero put out a statement yesterday telling all firms they are expected to ensure their customers have a £150 discount next year.
Money saving expert Martin Lewis, said on X that despite the Government pushing for all firms to follow suit, making sure the discounts are uniform across the board for all customers will be hard.
E.ON moved quickly after the Budget to confirm the savings.
The company said that all cuts will be passed through to customers on fixed tarffis and those on variable deals.
Customers will not need to take action as lower costs will be applied automatically to bills from April.
Octopus Energy also said that customers on both variable ad fixed tariffs will benefit from the cuts.
