Strictly Come Dancing fans unearth unrecognisable George Clarke’s first TikTok

It was posted way back in 2019
Strictly Come Dancing finalist and social media sensation George Clarke has left fans stunned as they discovered his first TikTok video where he appears completely different.
The YouTube and TikTok star was announced as a finalist in the 2025 edition of the popular BBC One dance competition during the last results show on Sunday night (December 14), following the live semi-final the previous evening.
George, alongside his dance partner Alexis, will be competing against West End sensation Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, as well as former England footballer and pundit Karen Carney and Carlos Gu. The grand finale is set to air this Saturday (December 20) from 7pm on BBC One and will also be available for streaming on iPlayer.
Reacting to the news, George expressed his excitement on X (formerly Twitter): “Absolutely insane to be typing this but thank you everyone for the votes because we wouldn’t be in the final without the support. It’s been a real journey for me (and I’ll be the first to admit at times not a pretty one) but I’m looking forward to using this last week as a bit of a celebration because this has genuinely been a life-changing experience. Love ya.”

Fans are already speculating about the potential winner, with many backing George as the likely champion. This prediction comes after Angry Ginge’s recent victory in the latest series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, reports Wales Online.
Fans reckon George’s massive online following and popularity will propel him to victory in the competition. Taking to Reddit to discuss the matter, numerous supporters argued this advantage would give him the upper hand.
One enthusiast wrote: “George has the big fan base.” Meanwhile, another commented: “I believe George will win, despite his lack of progress and being the weakest of the three, because having only internet votes has changed the demographic of voters now, and he was most well known from week one.”

George is a British YouTuber, podcaster, and social media sensation boasting millions of followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Hailing from the UK, he launched his video content career as a teenager, swiftly discovering that wit and authenticity helped him forge connections with audiences globally.
The 25 year old also presents The Useless Hotline Podcast alongside Max Balegde, which has proved so successful it’s spawned a string of live performances throughout the UK.
His fame and fanbase appears to be expanding even further since he embarked on his Strictly journey. This surge is partly down to more people discovering his debut TikTok video.

The footage shows a brief comedy skit where George tries to pair a gadget via Bluetooth. In the short sequence, a clean-shaven George waits whilst a speaker emits beeping sounds.
He then begins whistling along restlessly before mimicking the tune that plays when the connection succeeds and grooving as confetti tumbles from overhead. He wrote alongside the footage: “Thought I recognised that sound.” Among his hashtags was Megalomania, a track from the video game Undertale, created by developer Toby Fox.
Fresh comments on the 2019 clip reveal fans are only now discovering the old post. One viewer remarked: “Here in 2025. Now on Strictly.” Another observed: “Where it all began”. Someone else confessed: “Stalked so hard I ended up here.”
Strictly Come Dancing’s final airs Saturday at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
