Flyers D Zamula, Flames F Hunt among three on waivers ahead of roster freeze

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Egor Zamula, Calgary Flames forward Dryden Hunt and Minnesota Wild centre Ben Jones were placed on waivers Thursday, one day before the league’s roster freeze takes effect Friday night.
Zamula, 25, has spent the past three seasons as a regular in the Flyers lineup. A pending restricted free agent carrying a cap hit of $1.7 million, he has one assists in 13 games this season.
The 6-foot-3 blueliner posted three goals and 15 points in 63 games last season and a career-high 21 points in 66 games the year prior.
Hunt, 30, has gone without a point in two games with the Flames this season. He was five goals and 18 points in 16 games with the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.
Jones is without a point in 19 games with the Wild this season and has two assists in two AHL games. The 26-year-old appeared in a career-high 26 games with the Wild last season, failing to post a point.
